Saudi Quality Mark (SQM) for Products to Saudi Arabia
Manufacturers and traders exporting regulated products to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must demonstrate their compliance with Saudi standards by obtaining a Saudi Quality Mark (SQM).
The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) own the conformity mark. It is awarded to products that meet the applicable SASO standards and are manufactured in a factory with an effective quality management system to ensure continuous conformance with these standards.

What Are the Steps to Acquire the SQM?
The SQM mark is based on the requirements of the International Standards (ISO/IEC 17065). The application process for the conformity mark includes the following:
- A technical study.
- A factory/production line audit.
- An application review and audit.
The conformity mark is valid for three years and is subject to periodic audits.
